The table has been assembled using material mainly contributed by Jan Schoenmakers and Wikipedia. Additional information submitted by the foot.dk website. Thanks to George Vitos for clearing some mistakes regarding the Szeged teams. Notes are found after the table. 2004/05: MTK one point deducted for failing to settle debt to former coach. FC Féhérvar  three points deducted for failing to settle debts to four former players. Békéscaba had in all 15 points deducted for failing to settle debts to the federation. 2004/05: Békéscaba had in all 15 points deducted for failing to settle debts to the  federation. 2006/07: Újpest had three points deducted for racist behaviour on the part of their fans. 2007/08: FC Sopron withdrew at the winterbreak. They had all remaining matches set to 0-3  against them. The 11 points they already earned were deducted. 2011/12: Vasas had two points deducted for using an inelligible player. 2014/15: Dunaújváros Palhalma had one point deducted. 

Namechanges and amalgamations

See the hungarian Wikipedia for a more complete list of namechanges. I generally agree with them with a few exceptions: I consider MTK-VM as a merger and NOT part of MTK. Egri Dosza and Eger SC are by me considered as different teams. The latter are a merger of Eger Dosza, Egri Volan, Egri Vasas and Egri SE. SORTEX and Erzebet-Sóroksar are not the same team. The former were a merger of the latter and Sóroksar Textil. This merger was known as Sóroksar ESE for a while.    Ferencvaros TC have also played under the names EDOSZ & Budapesti Kiniszi.  Újpest FC have also played under the names UTE, Budapesti Dosza and Újpesti Dosza.  Budapest Honved have also played under the names Kispest AC.  MTK Budapest have also played under the names Hungaria, Textiles, Budapesti Bastya, Vöros Lobogo and MTK.  Györi ETO FC have also played under the names ETO Györ, Györ, Györi Vasas, Györi Vasas ETO, Raba Vasas ETO & Györi Raba ETO.  FC Tatabanya have also played under the names Tatabanya SC & Lombard-Tatabanya FC.  Szombathely Haladas have also played under the names Szombathelyi VSE, Szombathelyi Lokomotiv, Szombathelyi Törekves, Haladas VSE, Haladas-Milos VFC & LFC Haladas.  MOL Vidi Szekesfehervar have also played under the names Fehervar Szekesfehervar Videoton SC, Videoton-Waltham SC, Parmalat FC and Fehervar'96.  Diósgyöri VTK have also played under the names DiMAVAG, Diósgyöri Vasas, Diósgyöri FC.   SZEAC (Szeged) did also play under the names Bastya, Szegedi AK, Szegedi MTE and Szegedi Haladas. This club merged in 1977 with SZEOL to form the club SZEOL AK (now called Szeged 2011).  Salgotarjan BTC have also played under the names Salgotarani Torna and Salgotarjani Banyasz.  Pecsi Mecsek FC are an amalgamation of Pecsi Dosza (old), Pecsi Banyasz, Pecsi Ercbanyasz, Pecsi Helyipar & Pecsi Epitök. The team have also played  under the names Pecsi Munkas SC & Pecs Munkas-Fordan.  Debreceni VSC have also played under the name Debreceni VSC-Epona.  Békécsaba 1912 Elöre FC have also played under the name Békécsaba Elöre Spartacus SC.  MTK-VM Budapest= amalgamation between MTK Budapest and VM Egyertetes.  Dunaferr SE have also played under the name & Dunaujvaros Vasas. The city changed name back to Dunaujvaros from Sztalinvaros in 1957.  III kerulet TVE have also played under the names III.kerulet TVAC & III.kerulet FC.  Dorogi AC have also played under the names Dorogi Banyazs & Dorogi Torna.  Budai 11 have also played under the names 33 FC & Budai 33.  Dunakanyar-Vac FC have also played under the names VAC-Zollner FC Vaci Izzo MTE, Vac FC-Samsung & VAC FC.  Bodajk FC Siofok have also played under the name Balaton FC, Siofok FC & Siofoki Banyasz.  Budapesti Vasutas SC-Zuglo FC have also played under the names Budapesti Vasutas SC, Budapesti Vasutas Izzo & Budapesti Vasutas Novop, Budapesti Vasutas SC-Dreher,  Budapesti Vasas SC MAV.  Nyi­regyhaza FC have also played under the name Nyi­rseg Spartacus FC.  Terzvárosi TC have also played under the name Fövarosi.  Gamma FC = an amalgamation between SzISE and Budafok FC.  Volan FC have also played under the name Volan SC.  FC Sopron have also played under the names Matav-Sopron & EMDSZ-Sopron.  Veszpremi LC have also played under the names Veszpremi SE & Veszpremi FC.  Erszebet-Soroksar = an amalgamation between ETC Budapest & Soroksar FC.  Pecsi VSK have also played under the name Pecsi Lokomotiv.  SORTEX Soroksar = an amalgamation between Erszebet-Soroksar and Soroksar Textil. The team have also played under the name Soroksar ESE.  Eger SE = an amalgamation between Egri Dosza, Egri Kiniszi, Egri Vasas & Egri Volan.  Boripari DSE = an amalgamation between UMTE Budapest and Wolfner SE.  Diósgyöri-Balaton FC = an amalgamation between Diósgyöri FC & Balaton FC (Siofok).  Lombard-Pápa TFC = an amalgamation between LFC Haladas Szombathely &  Papai ELC. Haladas later broke free.
