The table has been assembled using material mainly contributed by (french) Wikipedia with additional information by Peter Wolf and his excellent website on Belgian football and the RSSSF. You are free to copy this document in non-commercial circumstances, but please state the source, i.e. Clas Glenning. The table was completely overhauled and corrected in January 2020.

NOTES:

1898-99: Specific results from the Premier league group B (called Oost & West Vlaandaren; incl. FC Brugeois, Oostendensche FC, AC Gantois & Sport Pedestre de Gand) have not been found. They have the season counted though.  FC Brugeois also have the final vs. FC Liegeois counted. 1899-1900: Specific results from the Premier league group B (called Oost & West Vlaandaren; incl. FC Brugeois, CS Brugeois,  RC de Gand, FC Courtraisien) have not been found. They have the season counted though. FC Brugeois also have the final vs. Racing  club de Bruxelles counted. 1902/03: Two games involving Antwerp, CS Brugeois and FC Brugeois were not played. 1902/03: As two teams ended on equal points in the final group, a playoff for 2nd place was necessary. This game: Union  Saint-Gilloise vs Beerschot 4-1, is counted in the table. 1904/05: The game CS Brugeois - Antwerp FC was not played. 1909/10: A championship playoff game was played – Union Saint-Gilloise vs FC Brugeois (1-0). It is counted in the table. 1912/13: A championship deciding game was necessary as the two top teams ended on equal points and those were the rules  those days. Union St. Gilloise beat  Daring club de Bruxelles 2-0. The game is counted in the table. 1913/14: A relegation playoff was needed as the two involved teams ended on equal points and those were the rules those  days. AA La Gantoise beat Standard  club Liègeois, 2-0. The game is counted in the table. 1914/15 - 1918/19: Cancelled because of WW1. 1921/22: A championship deciding game was necessary as the two top teams ended on equal points and those were the rules those days.  Beerschot beat Union St. Gilloise 2-0. The game is counted in the table. 1927/28: A relegation playoff between four teams was necessary to decide the second relegated team as the teams in question ended  on equal points and those were the rules of those days. The playoff is counted in the table. 1928/29: A championship deciding game was necessary as the two top teams ended on equal points and those were the rules those days.  R. Antwerpen FC beat R.  Beerschot AC 2-0. The game is counted in the table. 1939/40: Season not completed due to war. 1940/41: Season not official because of war. Therefore not counted here. 1943/44: One game between White Star and Standard Liége was never played. 1944/45: Season not completed due to war. 1982/83: The winner R. Standard club Liégeois were stripped of the title after evidence of competition fraude against KSV Waterschei  THOR Genk. However, later the Belgian federation gave the title back to Standard Liege and there was no effect on the official final table of the season. 1985/86: A championship deciding game was necessary as the two top teams ended on equal points and those were the rules those days.  RSC Anderlecht beat Club  Brügge KV, 1-1 & 2-2. The games are counted in the table. 1995/96: KSC Eendracht Aalst lost four points from the games vs. K.  Sint-Truiden VV (0-0) & RFC Séresien (4-2). The games were set to 0-5 but with the opponents retaining the original scores. 2002/03: KFC Lommelse SK withdrew during the season. As they are not counted in the official final table they are not counted by me either. 2004/05: A playoff was necessary to decide the 2nd Uefa-Cup place. The games between R. Standard club Liégois & KRC Genk (3-1, 0-3)  are counted in the table. 2008/09: A championship playoff was necessary. The games Standard Lièwge vs. Anderlecht 1-0, 1-1 is counted in the table. 2009/10: R. Excelsior Mouscron were excluded after threating a third forfeit in round 21. All results declared null and void. 2012/13: Kortrijk had three points deducted. 2016/17: Standard Liège had three points deducted. 2016/17-18/19:  Threet eams from 2nd level participated in the Europa League playoff groups each season. These have their results but  only ½ season counted. 2019/20: The season was cut short because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The standings at the halt was later declared final. The Europa league and Conference league playoffs are counted in the table.

Lierse SK & Lyra LM cannot be considered a merger  as such because although the "new" club was called K. Lierse SV, Lyra continued under the name Lyra TSV. KAA Gent previously AA La Gantoise & ARA La Gantoise, respectively. KSV Cercle Brügge previously RCS Brugeois. KV Kortrijk = merger of FC Courtraisien and SC Courtraisien. Racing White Daring Molenbeek (Bruxelles) = Merger of R. Daring club Molenbeek (Bruxelles) & R. Racing White (Bruxelles). KRC Mechelen previously RC Malines SR & RC Mechelen KM. K. Beringen FC previously Beeringen FC. KRC Genk = Merger of KFC Winterslag & KSV Waterschei THOR Genk. RCS Vervietois = Merger of Verviers FC & Stade Wallon de Verviers. R.
