A national league was formed in 1947. That championship was abandoned so the real first season was 1948/49. The table is based on tables found at RSSSF. You are free to copy this document in a non-commercial capacity, but please state the source, i.e. Clas Glenning. PD = Points deducted. The table was completely overhauled and corrected in October 2020.

Juventud Olimpica prev. Negocios Internacionales. Tiburones prev. Acajutla. San Salvador FC prev. ADET. Note: AD Chalatenango and CD Chalatenango are not the same team. The former were formed when the latter had folded in 2017. 2022/23: The Clausura playoffs was discontinued after a stadium disaster. The whole season, except the mentioned playoffs, are counted through as teams qualified for international cups and were relegated, respectively, on the basis of the aggregate standings.
