NOTES Al Kalia, Al Shorta and both Thanwit clubs were dissolved after 1964 season. Reason unknown.  Divisional movements: 1961/62 – Seven clubs 1962/63 – 1970/71 – Six clubs. 1971/72 – 1973/74 – Seven clubs. 1974/75 – 1978/79 – Eight clubs. 1979/80 – 1984/85 – League was expanded so all 14 clubs at that time were at top level. 1985/86 – Due to difference in quality league was recduced to seven teams. 1986/87-1989/90 – Seven clubs. 1991/92 – 14 clubs again. 1992/93-1993/94 – Eight clubs. Al Kuwait did not participate in 1993/94 season. Reason unknown to the author. 1994/95-1995/96 – 14 clubs again.  1996/97 – Al Quadisia did not participate int his season, reason unknown to the author. 1997/98 – 1999/2000 – 14 clubs. 2000/01-2002/03 – seven clubs. 2003/04-2005/06 – 14 clubs. 2006/07-2007-08 – seven clubs 2008/09-2012/13 – eight clubs 2013/2014-2014/15 – 14 clubs. 2015/16 – 13 clubs. Al Tadamon withdrew due to financial troubles. One match was awarded 0-3 loss to both clubs, and that is why all time table has two more  losses and -6 goal difference. 2016/17 – 15 clubs, newly found Burgan joined league. 2017/18 – eight clubs 2018-19 -2019/20 ten clubs. 2020/21 – 15 clubs.
