NOTES:

1936/37 was the first official championship season in Cyprus. Special thanks to Guy de Dekker who, through the RSSSF, has provided most of the information on which  this table is based. * 1937/38: Eight games were left unplayed. * LTSK is called Chetin Kaya in the RSSSF source. * 1938/39: Eight games were left unplayed. * 1939/40: LTSK vs Olympiakos Nicosia not played. * 1940/41: LTSK played only the first round of matches. * 1941/42, 1942/43 & 1943/44: Cancelled because of the 2nd world war. * 1957/58: Six games unplayed due to civil unrest. * 1958/59: Championship not played because of civil unrest. * 1963/64: Championship halted in mid-season because of civil unrest. The championship wasn't  finished. It's not counted in the table above. * 1965/66: AEL Limassol had one point deducted. Reason unknown. * 1966/67 to 1972/73: Championship winning teams from 1966/67 to 1972/73 played in the Greek  1st level. All teams who took part were relegated and returned to the Cyprus League except  APOEL Nicosia in 1973/74. APOEL Nicosia managed to stay in the 1st level of Greece for the  1974/75-season but due to the Turkish occupation the team did not take part and played in the  Cyprus First Division unofficially (not counted here). * 1969/70: Anorthosis Famagusta and Apollon Limassol each had one point deducted. Reason unknown. * 1990/91: APEP Pitsilias 4 points deducted. Reason unknown. * 1991/92 - onwards: Three points for a win system in effect. * 1993/94: APEP Pitsilias 4 points deducted. Reason unknown. * AEK Larnaca is the result of an amalgamation between Pezoporikos Larnaca and EPA Larnaca done  1994. * AEP Paphos is the result of an amalgamation between the teams APOP and Evagoras from Paphos. * Digenis Morphou previously Digenis Akritas Morphou. * 2008/09: APOP/Kinyras had six points deducted by FIFA decision. * 2009/10: APEP Pitsilias had six points deducted for abandoning a game in round 20. * 2012/13: Olympiakos Nicosia had three points and AE Paphos had nine points deducted. * 2013/14: Nea Salamis and EN Paralimni each had three points deducted. Alki Larnaca had 39 (!)  points deducted for various financial issues. * 2019/20: The season was halted because of the Covid-19 pandemic, but as teams qualified for the European cups based on the standings at the halt I am counting this season.
