makes about 1 1/4 cups
1/4 cup kosher salt
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup paprika
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1/2 tablespoon dried thyme
1/2 tablespoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1 teaspoon ground ancho chile pepper [optional]
1. In a small bowl, mix together all of the ingredients, being careful to incorporate the brown sugar evenly into the mixture.
2. Store in an airtight container until ready to use. If stored in a dark spot away from the heat, this seasoning should remain fresh for up to six months.
