2. Merge

  • Merge will show all customers merged to the Customer Profile you are viewing.

  • Click Merge Another Customer to search for a customer you would like to merge to the current customer file you are viewing.

  • Double click on any customer you would like to merge to the current file you are viewing.

  • You will be taken back to the Merge tab within the Customer Information screen.

  • Choose a Relationship

  • To change the Child file to be the Parent file click the Chile file and then click on "Make File Parent'.

  • The merged file displays a child icon

  • In contact history, on merged and un-merged customer files, the username and date of the action is recorded.

*Merging can also take place directly from the Search screen.

The “Make File Parent” button will permit a user to change the Child file to be the parent file. The Child file will need to be selected, then the “Make File Parent” will be enabled, once the “Make File Parent” is clicked the child file will now be the parent file.

*The “Make File Parent” button will only be enabled when the child file is selected.

Dealerships that are user the "Use Customer File Merge Screen " will be able to choose which information between all accounts will display on the parent account. In the screenshot, you can see that all boxes checked is the information that displays in the fields below. For example, if the last name DEALERMINE was checked instead of DEALERMINE TEST, DEALERMINE would display in the last name field.

Option must be turned on by Support


User will also need access to use a "Edit Merge Info" button then they can then edit the information that will display on the parent file.
