The Add Up to Traffic Log action button also offers the following options: Depending on what is on your screen

  • Add Guest to Traffic Log

  • Add "Customer Name" to Traffic Log

  • Create Work Sheet

  • Create Work Sheet for "Customer Name"

  • Search Quote

Note:

When viewing a customer profile you will see "Add Customer Name to Traffic Log" and "Create Worksheet for Customer Name" as two other options, making it quick to action the current customer in view.

Add Guest to Traffic Log : Depending on the dealership these steps may vary

This method of adding Traffic is generally used in dealerships that employee a spotter/greeter. This person, usually a receptonist, is the person who keeps an eyee on the lot and the sales floor and takes note of any guest theysee by logging the "UP" and assigning the it to a Sales Person.

An Up or pending guest is a person who is looking at a vehicle, for whom the dealership has no name or contact information for.

A spotter creates a pending guest (up) by clicking the menu button “Add Guest to the Traffic Log”, then filling in the customer description, choosing a salesperson (if not using the Up list Rotation) and choosing the traffic type.

1. Select the Add Guest to Traffic Log Action Button (Calendar with a pencil) and select Add Guest to Traffic Log if you are not on an existing customer file or Add “ Prospect Name” to Traffic Log if you are already on the customer/prospect file

2. Complete the Add Guest to Traffic Log Pop Up Window, adding all relevant and known information:

1. Depending on the dealership process the above 2 steps may be completed by reception/spotter/greeter etc

2. Once Steps 1 and 2 are completed the guest will be visible on the traffic log of the assigned Salesperson as well as in the pending guest tab. A quick way to identify Pending Guests from the Traffic Log All Guests Tab is to look for entries with a ? beside the customer description.

3. Transform the Pending Guest: This is accomplished by double clicking on the correct Pending Guest. ***Note if a Sales Person is entering their own traffic they can skip this step by simply selecting the Link Guest to Prospect/Customer box located on the Add Guest to Traffic Log pop up during step two.
