There is a “Smart Bar” at the top of the screen that follows workers as they scroll up and down the page. This title bar includes the name of the unit of work that you are currently on, the “New Note” button, and links to frequently accessed pages in Casebook to help you navigate through Casebook.
When you access different units of work, a description of where you are in Casebook will be displayed in the Smart Bar. For instance, when you are on a Risk Assessment, the Smart Bar will state the name of the Case or Assessment and the words Risk Assessment. If the name of the unit of work is very long, it will be truncated and you can mouse over the title to see the full name.
On any page that is accessed from the main page of a unit of work, the Smart Bar will display the name of the main unit of work. The name of the unit of work in the Smart Bar is a link back to the main page of the unit of work throughout Casebook.
On the overview page of a unit of work in Casebook, this is what the Smart Bar looks like:
When you navigate within a unit of work to any page a level deeper (ex: Safety Plan, History Page, or edit something inside the unit of work), the label and unit of work name is now a link back to the main page for that unit of work
Clicking edit will bring you to a blue edit screen. On the Smart Bar, you can click back, in the top left corner, to return to the main page of the unit of work. The Smart Bar also displays the name of the unit of work to provide you with a reference to what unit of work you are editing.
On the blue edit screen, you can
Change the name of the unit of work
Restrict an assessment
Link cases and assessments,
Enter a legacy ID
This drop down menu allows workers to take actions commonly associated with the piece of work they are currently viewing; for example, creating a court hearing.
This dropdown menu will populate with forms that you are currently able to print from Casebook, such as the Medicaid Eligibility Form. This list will be different depending on what unit of work you are on in Casebook.
Clicking View History will bring you to the History Page. The name in the Smart Bar is a link that will bring you back to the main page of the unit of work
Clicking New Note will bring you to the Create Note workflow. You can click Back (in the top left corner) to return to the main page of the unit of work
When you are editing a page in Casebook, the title in smart bar will change so that it describes where you are in Casebook. The type of work (case, assessment, etc) and the name of the unit of work will appear on the left side of the smart bar. This will be a link to the main view page of the unit of work. Following this name, there may be a description of what you are editing; for example. the screen shot below is the smart bar on the edit screen of a note.
In the case that you are adding a note or editing a file attachment, that will be referenced in the smart bar. The smart bar will like the type of work, the name of the unit of work, file uploads or Note, and edit. This will give you the clearest image of where you are in Casebook.
