A licensed resource can be put into a probationary period by a licensing worker. You add probation to a licensed resource by creating a Corrective Action Plan.
From the overview page of the licensed resource, scroll to the Corrective Action Plan card.
Click Add and select Corrective Action Plan to create a new plan.
When entering information for a CAP, you will enter information to multiple cards. Select an option with Probation.
Probation and Effective Dates -- All fields on this card are required
Select one of the following radio buttons:
With probation
Without probation, with placement hold
Without probation, without placement hold
Enter the effective dates:
The initial period for a CAP cannot exceed six months. When workers are entering the start and end date, if they enter an end date that exceeds six months they will receive a validation that reads, "Initial period of Corrective Action Plan cannot exceed 6 months." Workers can enter dates in the past.

After all information has been entered, click save.
Save and Close will bring you back to the main page of the resource
Save and View will bring you to an overview screen of the CAP.
You can edit and print the plan from this screen using the buttons at the top of the page.
You will also see a progress bar at the top of the page. This progress bar helps workers track where they are in the work flow for completing, submitting, and approving a CAP.
When all information has been entered into the CAP, it must be submitted for approval. You can submit the plan by clicking "Submit" at the bottom of the overview page.
CAPs without probation must only be submitted to a supervisor
CAPs with probation need to be submitted to a supervisor and then endorsed to Central Office for approval.
In either case, the supervisor will be able to return the plan for edits if needed.
Once the plan has been approved and is active:
You will receive a reminder every 30 days about the active Corrective Action Plan. The message will read, "The XYZ resource has an active Corrective Action Plan <with probation, without probation, with placement hold, without probation, without placement hold>. It will expire in XYZ days"
The main page of the resource will have a status bar at the top signaling there is a CAP on the resource.
From the overview page of the licensed resource, scroll to the Corrective Action Plan card.
Open the CAP with Probation that you want to end by clicking on the linked name.
Click Close at the bottom of the CAP
In the popup box that appears, select the supervisor to which you want to submit the plan for closure
The supervisor can either
Return the plan for edits, or
Endorse it to Central Office
In either instance, the progress bar on the CAP will show where the review is:
Once the plan is endorsed to Central Office, Central Office will review the plan and either,
Return it for edits, or
Close the CAP and the Probation period.
In either instance, the progress bar on the CAP will show where the review is:
After CO approves the closure:
The Corrective Action Plan card will display the CAP with probation as being closed.
The CAP slug at the top of the page will disappear.
