In Casebook, perpetrators and victims are added to an assessment through the assessment's allegations. Therefore, to add more victims or perps, you will need to add or edit the assessment's allegations.
The Allegations section of the Assessment page is found on the Allegations, Mandated Reasons, and Intake Narrative card. This section lists each of the allegations of abuse or neglect that a person has allegedly perpetrated against the focus child in a succinct statement.
In Casebook, there are three Allegation Sub-Types:
physical abuse
sexual abuse
neglect
Human/Sexual Trafficking
When you select one of these sub-types and substantiate the allegation an additional box of Maltreatment subtypes appears. This pop up box includes more specific information about the allegation type (physical abuse is shown below). You need to select which types of abuse or neglect a victim has experienced and then click ‘Save.’
At least one maltreatment subtype must be selected. If no subtype is selected, a red pill error message will display at the top of the page and an inline error message will display at the top of the maltreatment popup box.
In some instances, you will need to add or edit an allegation on an assessment after it has come over from Intake because you discovered additional allegations during your investigation or you need to add additional perpetrators or victims to an assessment. Adding or editing allegations can only be done before the assessment has been submitted.
Allegations that come over from Intake cannot be deleted.
From the assessment overview page, click edit on the Allegations, Mandated Reasons, and Intake Narratives card.
Click the "Add an Allegation" link.
Fill in the requested information about the new allegation. Red asterisks next to the allegation type and victim questions indicate these are required fields.
Click Save at the bottom of the page.
If required questions are unanswered when you click save, several error messages will display:
A red outlined error message listing all of the missing fields will display at the top of the page
An inline error message will display next to the missing fields
A red pill error message will popup at the top of the screen.
From the assessment overview page, click edit on the Allegations, Mandated Reasons, and Intake Narratives card.
Click the small x on the allegation card you want to delete. Note: you will not be able to delete allegations that have come into Casebook from Intake.
Click Save at the bottom of the page.
