In Casebook, Child and Family Team Meetings can document several different kinds of events. You can use CFTM as a type of visit log (or visitation log) to keep track of meetings that happen between an FCM and a child and also meetings that happen between a child and their family. You can distinguish between the types of meetings when you select which people were present at the meeting and also which people the meeting was regarding.
Child and Family Team Meetings are created in a similar way to a note, as they are actually a type of note. You can create a Child and Family Team Meeting for any unit of work from any page in Casebook.
Click on the "Create Note" button found in the top right corner on any page in Casebook.
Enter the unit of work that the CFTM will refer to. This is an auto-populate box that will prioritize results from your assigned caseload first. Once the correct unit of work is selected, and any necessary narrative is entered, click "Save and Process".
On the next screen, select Child and Family Team meeting from the Add-On dropdown. Then click "Add."
After "Add" is clicked, the CFTM questionnaire expands on the page and you can fill out all needed and necessary information in the sections listed.
You will need to select who was present at the meeting from the list of pre-populated individuals according to who has a relationship with the focus child. If someone is needed and is NOT listed, workers can add that person by typing their name in the person auto-complete box found at the bottom of the person list.
After selecting participants, you can enter information about the child's safety, any strengths, or any objectives. To add objectives to the CFTM, clicking the blue plus sign next to "Add Objective."
In the last section, you can enter information about the next scheduled meeting.
Once all information has been entered, you can click "Save". If you do not want to save the note and CFTM information, click "Cancel".
As with all other records that are created by clicking "Create Note," CFTM records are stored on the History page of the designated Unit of Work.
On the main page of the Case, workers should click on "View History." Selecting the "Notes" filter will automatically filter the history page for notes to make it easier for you to find CFTM entries.
Workers can edit and/or delete CFTM's for 30 days following their creation using the edit or remove links at the top of the note card of the CFTM entry.
