The Allegations & Mandated Reasons card is not available for edits until either:
at least one Victim has been added as a Participant (for Mandated Reasons)
at least one Victim and one Perpetrator has been added as Participants (for Allegations)
Allegations are grouped by Perpetrators. The Perpetrator's name and Person Description displays if that information was previously entered on the Reports and Participants card.
Victims are listed under each Perpetrator. The Victim’s name, calculated or approximate age, and Person Description is displayed if it was previously entered on the Reports and Participants card.
To add an Allegation:
Click the text field and choose the allegation from the results. The options are:
Neglect
Physical Abuse
Sexual Abuse
Human/Sexual Trafficking
If the Perpetrator has no Allegations for that particular Victim then leave the Allegations box blank
Notes:
The Allegations section only displays when at least one perpetrator and one victim have been added as Participants
All Perpetrators must have at least one Allegation against one Victim
Multiple Allegations can be entered for each Victim
Participants who are Victim/Perpetrator can not have Allegations against themselves
The PEDS feature allows you to note that a Victim on a Report may have suffered an injury that requires examination by a pediatrician.
Select the checkbox noting that Allegations include PEDS Eligible injury.
Notes:
The PEDS option only displays if there is at least one Victim and one Perpetrator
There are no age limitations regarding who can be referred to PEDS. Click the Tooltip “?” icon to learn more about the policy rules regarding who qualifies for a peds referral.
Deleting a Victim or changing a Victim’s role to Perpetrator or not involved removes any PEDS referral for that Participant.
At times it may be necessary to add a Legally Mandated Reason on a Report. There are five mandated reasons:
Fatality
Near Fatality
Sexual Predator Living in the Home
Unaccompanied Minor Living in a Shelter
Family Evaluation
To enter Mandated Reasons
Select the checkbox “Report has one or more Victims with Mandated Reasons.”
Each Victim on the Report is listed
Enter one or more Mandated Reasons for one or more Victims as appropriate
Notes:
If the checkbox is selected then at least one Victim must have a mandated reason
Changing a Participant role from Victim to Perpetrator, and saving, deletes any previously saved Mandated Reasons for this Participant.
Family Evaluations will send an email notification to the Family Evaluation distribution list
