Safety Plans can be created from Plans and Tools card on Assessment and Case pages. The Safety Plan includes details that consider and quantify the safety of minor household members.
The following cards are included on the plan:
Effective date
Circumstances: workers enter a brief description of the circumstances
Agreement Items: workers add items that detail and explain the safety of minor household members, including what will be done by whom, and who non-compliance is reported to
Agreement signatures: please refer to DCS policy for the requirements on who is required to sign the safety plan
When workers have entered all information into the Safety Plan, they can click "Save and View" to view a summary of the new Safety Plan or "Save and Close" to return to the case or assessment page.
The screen shot below shows a partial view of the edit screen of a Safety Plan. Clicking the yellow link in the top right corner will take you back to the case page.
From the Plans and Tools card, click on the linked name for the plan you want to edit. Clicking the link will take you directly to the blue edit screen you saw when the plan was initially created.
Safety Plans are named by the date they were created and the name of the participants listed on the plan to help workers quickly find the right plan.
You can delete safety plans if you create them by mistake. This is not how you end a safety plan.
From the Plans and Tools card on a Case or Assessment, open the Safety Plan you want to delete.
Scroll to the bottom and click save and view.
From the Actions menu, click "Delete".
An "are you sure" confirmation will popup on the screen
Choose "ok" to delete the safety plan.
Jump Menu
The jump menu (and related cards for the Safety Plan) is comprised of the following:
Smart Bar
In edit mode, the Safety Plan itself is a shortcut link back to the view page.
Autosave Notification
The Safety Plan provides an auto-save feature. The Plan should attempt to save itself and create a flash notification message whenever the FCM shifts away from a field or when the FCM stops typing for 2 seconds.
Offline Notification
If an FCM becomes offline while completing the Safety Plan, offline notifications will aid the user to effectively save information in real time.
Note: If the user is offline, the autosave feature will resume once the user’s connection has been reestablished. This feature is also available, in the event, of “timing out” of the application.
This feature also extends to disabling the search within the autocompleter for All People in MaGIK when an FCM is offline:
Multiple Persons added from atocompleter
From within the Safety Plan, multiple persons can be added at the same time from the Associated People tab within the autocompleter. A green border around the Profile Photo along with a checkmark indicates which persons have been selected.
Safety Plan Items and Signatures
To aid in completion of the Safety Plan Tool, FCM’s will be able to add/delete safety plan items, focus children and monitors. All people added to “Safety Plan Items”, including the persons contacted for non-compliance will be pre-populated onto the Agreement Signatures card to collect signatures for all participating parties.
Note: If an “In Progress” Safety Plan is edited prior to all signature being collected, all signatures that have been already inputted will be cleared and must be obtained again
