At times, assessments and cases have pertinent and sensitive information that should be restricted from other users within the application. Casebook allows Cases and Assessments to be restricted so that only authorized users are allowed access to these Units of Work. Assessments and Cases can be restricted via the Actions menu on the Smart Bar.
Restrictions can be added to Cases or Assessments while they are in any workflow state.
A Unit of Work must be assigned to a user before it can be restricted. If you attempt to restrict a Unit of Work that has not been assigned to a worker, a warning message informs you to assign the Unit of Work.
Clicking ‘Assign’ will take you to the Unit of Work edit screen to assign the Unit of Work (you must use the Unit of Work's Actions menu to return to the Set Restrictions modal).
Clicking ‘Cancel’ closes the modal without making changes and returns you to the Unit of Work.
Click the Actions menu in the title bar and select Set Restrictions.:
Via the Case Page Via the Assessment Page
On the Set Restrictions modal;
Select Yes, Restrict to Selected Users to restrict access
Select who can access the Case using the Auto-Completer
Notes:
The worker assigned to the unit of work is automatically added as an authorized user.
At least one Supervisor must be added as an authorized user - If the assigned worker is a Supervisor then no other Supervisor needs to be authorized.
Tooltips are available to clarify that only specified users will be able to to access the restricted Unit of Work. However, the restricted Unit of Work still appears in search results.
