CEU and Admin worker roles are the only workers who can edit and submit EA eligibility applications. However, information used to determine a child's eligibility for EA services is mainly entered by FCMs and then checked by CEU workers.
A lot of the information for the EA application is entered by the FCM. This information includes the child's age, citizenship, and also assistance group eligibility month income. Casebook automatically checks for this information and several other pieces of information, like previous EA and open removal episodes. The results of this back-end check are automatically entered into the Emergency Assistance card for the CEU worker.
Please refer to DCS policy on how much of the application should be completed once it can be determined that the focus child is ineligible for EA (ie: s/he is not a citizen).
When the predicted determination matches your, the CEU worker's, expectation of what the eligibility determination should be, click Submit at the bottom of the page. If submit is clicked before all information is entered or if information related to the EA criteria changes after submit has been clicked, that is ok. Workers can change the information related to the EA criteria and submit the application again without a problem.
Submitting an EA eligibility application will prompt Casebook to begin back-end calculations to double check all the information entered into the EA application before setting the official determination. If Submit is pressed before all the information for the EA application has been entered, Casebook will calculate
change the official determination to what the predicted determination is
remove the eligibility file from their work queue
submit information to KidTraks
