In some circumstances, Licensing workers will need to revoke a license from a resource. Only the Central Resource Office can approve the revocation of a license.
To Revoke a License
From a licensed resource, scroll to the Recommendations and Requests card.
Click Add and select Revoke License.
A popup box will appear. Select all of the reasons the license is being revoked, the related date, and click save. The date of revocation cannot be in the future.
Several changes will be made to indicate the resource's license is now pending revocation.
A workflow event card will be added to the history page that displays the reasons for the revocation, the effective date, and who initiated the request.
The pending request will display in the Recommendations and Request card.
The progress bars at the top of the main page of the resource will also note that the resource’s license is pending revocation.
Submit the request for revocation for approval by clicking the submit button at the bottom of the page
In the popup box that opens, enter the name of the supervisor to approve the request and any comments
A new workflow event will be added to the history page that displays any comments.
The supervisor will review the license and either send it back to the Licensing worker for edits or endorse it to central office for their approval. In this state, the supervisor will be able to change the reason for revocation and the effective date of the revocation.

If accepted, the resource's license status will change to 'revoked'. The assigned licensing worker will receive a notification that the license has been revoked and only the Initial Licensure Checklist can be added to the resource. The Revoked status will be listed on the top of the resource's overview page and on the License Status card.
The request for revocation will also move to the approved section of the Recommendations and Requests card.
The License Summary card will also list the reasons for the revocation and the effective date.

Signals of a License Pending Revocation
Once a resource's status has changed to pending revocation, several things will signal to workers not to place children with the resource.

Signals of a Revoked License
After a resource's license has been revoked, the resource will not appear in the list of approved licensed resources. Additionally, when workers attempt to place a child at a resource with a revoked license, they will see a number of signs warning them not to place the child with that resource.
There will be an indicator that the resource is revoked in the auto-completer
A warning will appear on the resource's search result card.
Even though a resource has a revoked license, Casebook does not block a worker from placing a child at that resource. If a worker continues through the placement flow, with the resource with a revoked license, two things will happen.
