When any worker opens Casebook through loading the URL, he/she will be taken to the log-in page:
An Admin worker must create an account for a new worker; once it is created, you can log-in to the application.
Enter your DCS given user name
Enter the password associated with your DCS authentication.
To sign out of Casebook, click the sign out link that appears in the menu under your name. Simply closing your browser window will not sign you out of Casebook.
From the log-in page, click the ‘Forgot Password’ link.
You will be taken to a blue page 'Reset your Password' page.
At the top of the page, a link to the IOT Password Recovery Service will display for DCS users to use to reset their password.
As a DCS user, if you try to enter your email and click the 'Send Me Reset Password Instructions' an error message will display at the top of the page
Users receive informative instructions when their login attempts via the authentication web service fail.
Bad credentials -- You attempt to log into Casebook with an incorrect username/password combination. This could be a misspelled username or password, or a username that doesn’t exist for the DCS authentication web service (whether or not the username exists in Casebook should not matter).
You should see an error message that reads "Can't login due to incorrect username/password combination"
Account Revoked -- Your account is disabled in Active Directory; your Casebook account can be active or inactive
You should see an error message "Can't login because your access was revoked. Contact the help desk if you believe this is an error."
Credentials are valid (as per DCS service) but not authorized to access Casebook -- You do not have a user account created in Casebook OR your user account in Casebook is inactive
You should see an error message "Can't login because you are not authorized. Contact the help desk if you believe this is an error."
The web authentication service is experiencing problems
You should see an error message “Can't log in due to system error. Contact the help desk for further assistance.”
