On this page you will learn how to show that a child has been adopted in Casebook.
Once a child has been adopted, several things need to happen in Casebook to ensure it is tracked properly. FCMs and their Supervisors should ensure that all Adoptions be recorded in Casebook by doing the following things:
Create and complete a Pre-Adoption Plan for any child whose adoption was finalized since 3-31-12. Read more about Pre-Adoption Plans here.
Create a Wardship Dismissal Hearing with an Outcome of “Court Case Closed, Child Was in Foster Care” and a discharge reason of Adoption. Read more about creating court hearings here.
Create a final Adoption Decree Hearing with an Outcome of “Finalized with (or without) Subsidy”. Read more about creating court hearings here.
