Notes added to a unit of work are stored on the unit of work's History page and can be viewed and edited from there.
Go to the History Page for a given unit of work by clicking the View History button in the top right corner on the overview page and select the Notes option in the menu that opens.
Each history page card displays the following information about a note:
Who created it -- with a link to the user profile page
How long it is editable -- with a link to the edit screen
A remove link -- to delete the note
Any attached files -- these can be opened directly from the History page by clicking the thumb nail or the linked name of the file.
You will notice a reminder in the top right hand corner that the note is 'editable for 30 days.' Casebook allows you to edit or delete the narrative of a note for 30 days and then locks the text for editing. The text next to the edit link will count down the number of days that the note is editable.
Notes on an assessment that has been approved will no longer be editable, even if they are less than 30 days old.
All notes can be found on the History Page. After 30 days, the edit link changes to a view link and there is a note that the note is locked. Notes attached to an assessment will be locked for editing once the assessment is in an approved state even if this happens within 30 days of creation.
Clicking view will bring you to the blue edit screen of the note. The narrative of the note will not be editable, add-ons can no longer be added, but files can still be attached.
From the History page, locate the note you want to edit.
Click the edit link
Enter or edit any information on the blue form that opens.
To edit the note's narrative, click the small black edit link in the top right corner of the edit screen.
To add a note add-on, select the add-on you want from the drop down menu and click Add. Fill in the inline form that opens.
Click close. You will return to the History Page.
