Sometimes a FCM must mark a Case as restricted after investigation has begun.
Users can restrict cases with the functionality accessible from the Actions menu. Cases can be restricted in any state of progress including: In Progress, Supervisor Review, Approved, and Making Revisions.
How to Mark a Case as Restricted
1. Go to the Case that is assigned to you.
2. Click the Actions menu in the title bar and select Set Restrictions
3. After clicking Set Restrictions, a modal is displayed. Select Yes, Restrict to Selected Users to restrict access and choose who can access the Case using the Auto-Completer
4. Tooltip are available to clarify that only specified users will be able to to access the restricted case. The restricted case still appears in search results.
A Case must be assigned to a user before the Case can be restricted. If you attempt to restrict a Case that has not been assigned to a worker, a warning message is displayed in the Restriction modal informing you to assign the case.
NOTE: The assignee of the restricted assessment/case is automatically added as a user with access. If the assignee of the restricted assessment/case is a supervisor or above, no other user will be required to be added as able to access the assessment. Any user that is not a supervisor or above will require at least one supervisor or above be added as someone who can access the assessment or case.
