In Casebook, only supervisors can assign work. Cases or assessments can be assigned from the supervisor's dashboard or directly from the unit of work.
To Assign work from the Dashboard
Go to the Unassigned Tab on your dashboard.
Scroll to the unit of work you want to assign and click the assign link. To expand the card for a unit of work, click the small triangle in the top left corner
A pop-up box will open. The name of each member of your team and details about their workload will be listed beneath the unit of work you are currently assigning. Currently only the members of you
Click the worker’s name you want to assign the new unit of work to. Once selected, the assign button becomes clickable and turns red.
Click the Assign button
A yellow pill will appear with the message “Assigned Successfully” when the assignment is complete. The unit of work’s card will also move off of the unassigned tab onto the assigned worker’s dashboard.
A workflow event will be added to the history page when an assessment or case is assigned. This card will state the date the assessment or case was assigned and the supervisor who assigned it.
To Assign Work from that Unit of Work
From a Case or Assessment, supervisors can assign or reassign work using the Actions Menu.
Click the Actions Menu and select Assign.
Enter or change the name of the worker in the form that opens.
Click Save. The worker will receive a notification in Casebook that s/he has been assigned to a new case or assessment.
A workflow event will be added to the history page when an assessment or case is assigned. This card will state the date the assessment or case was assigned and the supervisor who assigned it.
Notes:
Assessments do not require an assignee when created
All Cases require an assignee when created, except Cases created from Safe Have Baby Reports
Once a Case or Assessment is assigned, it cannot be unassigned
