Assessments may come over from Intake with one or more Legally Mandated Reasons. Mandated Reasons can also be added after the Assessment comes over from Intake. The five Mandated Reasons are:
Fatality
Near Fatality
Sexual Predator Living in the Home
Unaccompanied Minor Living in a Shelter
Family Evaluation
Detailed instructions regarding these mandated reasons can be found on the page Fatality/Near Fatality.
You can add or edit Mandated Reasons on new and existing Assessments.
While on an Assessment, edit the Allegations, Mandated Reasons, And Intake Narratives card
Scroll down to the Legally Mandated Reasons card and select "Yes" to add the appropriate mandated reason. Select "No" to remove an existing mandated reason
Choose “related People” from the Auto-completer
Click Save. Casebook displays a message informing you that the Assessment has been updated
Mandated Reasons are displayed on the blue Initiate By bar and on the Allegations, Mandated Reasons, and Intake Narratives card
Prior to 01/20/2016 the mandated reason "Family Evaluation" was not available to be added to Assessments and workers instead selected "Unaccompanied Minor Living in a Shelter". These previous entries of "Unaccompanied Minor Living in a Shelter" have been converted to "Family Evaluation" and these Assessments now appear with this mandated reason. Both "Family Evaluation" and "Unaccompanied Minor Living in a Shelter" are now available for selection using the above instructions.
