As a resource's license is about to expire, you have the option of extending a resource's license with a relicensing review checklist. A resource can be relicensed up to 1 year after the license expires using the relicensure checklist. Resources can also be relicensed before their license expires once it is in the Relicensure Application Pending state.
A count down clock will appear in the progress bar of a licensed resource that is due for a relicensure review.
90 days before the resource's license will expire, a relicensure checklist will be automatically added to the checklist card on the main overview page of the license.
A request for relicensure will also be added to the Recommendations and Requests card
Clicking on the name of the checklist will take you to a blue screen where you can enter the dates each item on the checklist has been completed.
Once the checklist has been started, the resource's state will change to Relicensure Application Pending. This will be displayed in the chevron progress bar at the top of the main page of the resource.
There will also be a note on the search card for the resource.
Add a recommendation of approve or deny relicensure on the Recommendation and Requests card. Click the link highlighted in the screen shot or the Add link in the top right corner of the card.
If a recommendation of deny is added, the license will expire on the last day it is effective and a red bar will appear at the top of the resource's main page.
Upload a home study. You can do this on the Recommendations and Requests card or in the file uploads card.
Make sure to mark the document type of the uploaded file as 'Home Study'. (Read more here).
Submit the request for relicense for approval by clicking the button at the bottom of the page. This can be done as soon as the resource enters the Relicensure Applications Pending state and up to one year after the resource expires.
Enter the name of the supervisor who will review the submission.
The progress bar will move to "In Supervisor Review". The request for relicensure will also move to the Pending section of the Recommendations and Requests card.
The supervisor can approve the request or return if for edits. If accepted, the progress bar will return to displaying the current status of the resource (licensed in year 4). When the expiration date of the license passes, the status bar will display the new license period and that the resource is licensed in year 1.
You can relicense a resource with an expired license in two ways:
Using the Relicensing Review Checklist. This can be done if the resource's license has been expired for less than 1 year.
Add a request for relicensure from the Recommendations and Requests card. You can click the link in the call to action or the add link in the top right corner of the card
Complete the Relicensure checklist that will be added to the resource when the request is added. A link to the checklist will appear in the Recommendations and Requests card and the Checklist card.
As soon as the checklist has been started, the resource's state will change to "Relicensure Application Pending". The status bar under the progress bar will show the original dates the resource was licensed for and the number of days since the license expired.
Add a recommendation of approve or deny relicensure on the Recommendation and Requests card. Click the link highlighted in the screen shot or the Add link in the top right corner of the card.
Upload a home study. You can do this on the Recommendations and Requests card or in the file uploads card.
Make sure to mark the document type of the uploaded file as 'Home Study'. (Read more here).
Enter the resource's capacity on the License Summary card.
Submit the request for relicense for approval by clicking the button at the bottom of the page.
Enter the name of the supervisor who will review the submission.
The progress bar will move to "In Supervisor Review". The request for relicensure will also move to the Pending section of the Recommendations and Requests card.
The supervisor can approve the request or return if for edits. If accepted, the progress bar will display the new license period and that the resource is licensed in year 1.
Using the Initial Application Checklist. This can be done if the resource's license has been expired for any amount of time, but is the only way to relicense a resource is the previous license has been expired for more than one year. The workflow for this option will be the same as when it is a new resource. You can read about this workflow here.
