In the case of an appeal, supervisors can re-open an assessments. This will only be done if the family appeals the decision on an assessment.
As a supervisor, go to the closed assessment
At the bottom of the overview page, click “Edit (Due to Appeal)”
This will bring the assessment back to the edit state. In this state, the supervisor will be able to change the allegation to unsubstantiated.
Once the assessment is editable again, the supervisor will be able to:

Users with a worker role or supervisor role can fill out an additional section of the assessment narrative, Post Assessment Information. This section is not required but allows the circumstances that brought the assessment back into an edit state to be explained. Any new information entered into this section will display in the card on the overview page of the assessment.
After any changes are made to the assessment, ie: the allegation has been unsubstantiated, and any additional narrative entered, the assessment needs to be submitted to a supervisor for approval, following the same steps for approval as the initial approval.
If mandated contacts are entered as contacts on the assessment when it is being edited due to appeal, they will not show as being met in the Mandated Contacts card on the main page of the assessment.
New Court Hearings can be added by all workers.
Existing Court Hearings can only be edited by users with the following roles: Admin, CEU supervisor, CEU Worker, Executive, Local Office Director, Super Admin Supervisor
Existing File Uploads can only be edited by users with the following roles: Admin, CEU supervisor, CEU Worker, Executive, Local Office Director, Super Admin Supervisor
FCMs cannot edit existing answers for Consent to Interview on the Mandated Contacts card.
The Assessment Narrative Conclusion cannot be edited by FCMs. If you try to edit the assessment narrative, you will see this warning message at the top of the edit screen
Plans and Tools - If one of these plans/tools is created when the assessment is being edited due to appeal, the plan/tool becomes uneditable as soon as it is approved.
