Licensed Child Placing Agencies (LCPA) workers have a specific role in Casebook. These workers can search for people and resources and view the resources assigned to their LCPA.
When an LCPA logs in, like all other users, they are taken to the dashboard. On the dashboard, LCPA workers will see only the foster families that are assigned to their LCPA in Casebook.
The LCPA dashboard has several unique features.
On the left hand side, the same search filters as found on the Foster Family index display. These filters are described here.
The center lists all of the Foster Families supervised by the LCPA. This part of the page is sortable according to column. Clicking on the header will sort the Foster Families alphabetically according to the contents of that column.
At the bottom of the dashboard, you can click Create New Foster Family to create a new Foster Family home.
LCPAs will only see People and Resources in search results.
People and Foster Families are the only types of Resources and Lists LCPAs can access from the dropdown in the Universal Search bar.
LCPAs can view all units of work they are assigned to. However, users will receive an error message when trying to view something they are unable to view.
LCPA workers can add relationships and create and edit households
LCPA workers can enter background check information
LCPA workers can enter information about employment and finances
All LCPA foster families must be submitted to Central Office for approval
LCPA workers cannot see the "Close Application" button
Licensed LCPA foster families will come up in the placement auto-completer
Only the foster families will come up in the placement auto-completer not the name to the LCPA
When a allegation including one of the children placed at an LCPA is unsubstantiated or substantiated, the assigned LCPA worker gets notified:
The allegation naming [staff member|applicant|household member|or resource name] as an alleged perpetrator has been [substantiated or unsubstantiated]. You are receiving this notification because of your role in licensing the resource, or because children from your caseload are currently placed there.
When a new foster family is assigned to an LCPA, the worker assigned to the foster family receives a notification via email.
When an Institutional Assessment about one of the assigned Foster Families is received from intake, or when an applicant, household member, or staff member is named in an allegation.
