On this page you will learn about the types of locations a child can have and the pages where you can set the appropriate location.
The child's current location represents where the child is most likely to be found at night. The current location can be a household address or an out-of-home address depending on the child's situation
In Casebook a child can be either At Home or Out of Home.
A child's household is their home base. If a child is At Home, all changes to his/her location (except in the case of a removal) will be made from the person profile page.
If the child leaves the household for a temporary amount of time, and DOES NOT enter a placement, the child is put into an Other Location.
If a child IS removed from their household and put into a placement, a removal episode begins. Once a child is removed, all changes to his/her location will be made from the case or assessment page.
The pages contained within this section describe these work flows in greater detail.
