The Fatality Unit worker's dashboard functions like the dashboard used by FCMs. However, in Casebook, the dashboard only populates with content when content is assigned to a worker. This means that if nothing is assigned to a worker, the dashboard is blank.
This is how a dashboard will look if no work is assigned to a worker:
This is how a dashboard looks when information is assigned to a worker.
The Fatality Unit is notified several times during the investigation of an assessment marked as a fatality or near-fatality. The Fatality Unit's notifications come via email, not in the application like many other notifications. Four things will trigger an email notification to be sent to the Fatality Unit:
When an assessment marked as fatality or near-fatality comes into Casebook from Intake
When an assessment is marked as a fatality or near-fatality by a worker in Casebook
When an assessment is escalated from a near-fatality to a fatality by a worker in Casebook
When as assessment marked as a fatality or near-fatality is endorsed to Central Office.
Once logged into Casebook, Fatality Unit workers can search for their work using the assessment name or ID that comes in the email. Workers can also click the link in the email to be taken to the page for the unit of work.
