On this page you will learn how to record a trial home visit.
A trial home visit occurs when a child returns home for a period of time during a open removal episode. It is a short-term option that is done in preparation for returning a child home permanently.
A trial home visit can only be recorded if the child is in an open and current placement. To record a trial home visit, you must first end date the current placement.
To record a trial home visit:
Go to the Placements and Locations card on the related assessment or case and click Edit/Add.
