The visitation plan tool allows you to input information about who a child should or should not visit and any parameters associated with the visits for a given period of time. This plan can be created from an assessment or case page.
The following cards populate the Visitation Plan:
Overview: gives details about who can and cannot visit the child and the goal of the visit and also the dates for which the plan is active
Scheduled Visits: gives information about planned visits with the child, including time and location
Additional Visitation Details: gives information about who will supervise the visit, any protective orders in place, appropriate activities during the visit, and a code of conduct for the visit.
Alternate Form of Contact: describes alternative forms that are necessary if an individual cannot visit or have face-to-face contact with the child
Transition Planning: gives details about the transition plan for the visit.
Required fields on the Visitation Plan are marked with red asterisks.
If you try to save the plan without answering all required fields, three error messages will display:
A red pill popup message
A red outlined message at the top of the page
An inline error message
You will see two "save and" buttons at the bottom of the visitation plan, which can be click to save the information entered on the plan before navigating to another page in Casebook.

If you try to navigate away from the Visitation plan without saving your edits, a popup will open asking if you are sure you want to leave the page. Clicking "Leave Page" will take you away from the Visitation plan and all unsaved edits will be lost.
From the Plans and Tools card, click the linked name. This will open the view page of the visitation plan.
From the plan's view page, you will see each section of the plan in its own card. To edit a section, click the edit link in the related card.
The edit link will take the worker to the blue edit screen s/he saw when the plan was initially created. From the blue edit screen, workers can add/edit information and click save at the bottom of the page.
There are two pieces of information that are required on a visitation plan:
At least one child must be listed
A start date must be entered
On a case, existing visitation plan content can be copied into a new visitation plan on the same case. This will help you quickly create visitation plans for focus children on the same case.
Open an existing visitation plan from the Plans and Tools card on a case.
From the Actions menu, select Copy Visitation Plan
This will take you to the edit screen of the new visitation plan. It will be populated with the information from the old plan.
Edit the existing information with new information.
Click Save. The new visitation plan will also appear in the Plans and Tools card on the case.
Open an existing Visitation Plan by clicking the link found in the Plans and Tools card on a Case or Assessment.
From the Actions menu, select Delete.
A popup window will open asking if you are sure you want to delete the page. Select OK to delete the Visitation Plan; select Cancel to keep the plan.
If OK is selected, the plan will be deleted and will not show up on the Plans and Tools card.
