Oikopleura

Hello friends welcome to museum of Zoology Department, Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur. I am Oikopleura, a larvacean tunicate. I live inside a delicate mucous house. I filter small food particles from the water. My body resembles a tadpole. I continuously build and discard mucous houses. My house traps plankton and detritus for feeding. I have a simple, transparent body structure. I reproduce rapidly, with short life cycles. Thank you visit again.
