Hello friends, welcome to zoology museum, Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur. I’m a chiton, a simple and armored mollusk. I have eight overlapping plates that protect my body. I cling tightly to rocks in the intertidal zone. My underside has a strong, muscular foot for holding on. I feed by scraping algae off rocks with my radula. I have a simple nervous system but no complex brain. My body is flat and oval-shaped, perfect for staying close to rocks. I breathe through gills located along my sides. I prefer tidal pools and rocky shores where waves break. My shell plates allow me to flex and conform to rock surfaces. I can roll up slightly to protect my soft underside. Thankyou visit again.
