Hello friends welcome to Zoology Museum Shri Shivaji Science college, Nagpur. I’m Onichidium, a unique land snail. Unlike most snails, I can breathe air, not water. I live in moist, forested areas to prevent drying out. My body is slimy, which helps me move and protects me. I feed on decomposing plant material, aiding nutrient recycling. I have a retractable foot that helps me navigate rough terrain. I’m slow-moving but can cover a surprising amount of ground. I’m often active at night, avoiding predators and heat. I have a distinct shell for protection, which I retreat into. I contribute to soil health and ecosystem balance. Thank you visit again.
