Queen Termite

Hello friends welcome to museum of Zoology Department, Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur.I am the queen termite, the primary reproductive in a termite colony.My body is much larger than other termites, especially my abdomen.I rely on worker termites to feed and groom me and protected by soldier termites within the nest.I produce pheromones that regulate the colony's activities.My eggs hatch into larvae that develop into workers, soldiers, or reproductives.My colony recycles dead plant material, contributing to nutrient cycling.
