Doliolum

Hello friends welcome to museum of Zoology Department, Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur. I am Doliolum, a type of free-swimming tunicate. My body is barrel-shaped and transparent. I filter plankton from the water for food. I live in the open ocean, drifting with currents. I move by expelling water through my body, a method called jet propulsion. My lifecycle includes both solitary and colonial phases. Thank you visit again.
