Cymothoa

Hello friends welcome to museum of Zoology Department, Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur. I am Cymothoa, a genus of parasitic isopods. I attach myself to the mouth or gills of fish. I feed on the blood and tissues of my host. My body is flat and adapted for clinging to my host. My presence can cause harm to my host fish. My presence indicates a parasitic relationship in the marine environment. I am studied for my impact on fish populations and health. Thank you visit again.
