Ciona

Hello friends welcome to museum of Zoology Department, Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur. I am Ciona, a genus of sea squirts.I have a sac-like body with two siphons for water flow.I filter-feed by trapping plankton and particles from seawater.I attach myself to hard surfaces like rocks and ship hulls.My life cycle includes a free-swimming larval stage.I undergo metamorphosis, losing my tail and developing into a sessile adult.I reproduce by releasing eggs and sperm into the water.
