Globe fish
Globe fish
Hello friends, Welcome to zoology museum, Shri Shivaji Science College Nagpur. I am the Globe Fish, commonly known as a pufferfish. My body is round and inflatable, and I can expand my size by swallowing water or air when threatened. My skin is often covered in spines, which become more pronounced when I inflate. I am highly toxic, containing a substance called tetrodotoxin, which can be lethal to predators and humans. I feed on a variety of small invertebrates, using my beak-like teeth to crush shells. I inhabit warm, tropical marine waters, often living among coral reefs. My slow movement makes me an easy target for predators, but my ability to puff up acts as a defense mechanism. Thank you visit again.
