Synaptura
Synaptura
Hello friends welcome to zoology museum Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur. I am Synaptura, a unique flatfish known for my unusual shape. I thrive in sandy or muddy substrates in shallow coastal waters. My flat body allows me to blend seamlessly into the seafloor, avoiding predators. I feed on small fish and invertebrates, using my camouflage to ambush prey. I can change my color and pattern to match my surroundings, enhancing my disguise. My presence indicates a healthy marine ecosystem, contributing to biodiversity. I communicate with my environment through subtle movements and changes in coloration. I have specialized adaptations for life on the seafloor, allowing me to thrive. I’m often preyed upon by larger fish and birds, so I stay alert. I’m proud to be a fascinating part of the underwater world. Thank you visit again.
