I feed primarily on amphibians, fish, and small invertebrates, catching them with my sharp teeth. My body is long and slender, and I am an excellent swimmer. My coloration is often brown or greenish, helping me blend into my surroundings. I reproduce by laying eggs in moist areas near water, where they hatch into fully formed juveniles.
