Hello friends welcome to museum of Zoology Department, Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur. I am Labeo, a genus of freshwater fish. I belong to the carp family, Cyprinidae. My body is streamlined and elongated. I am an omnivore, feeding on algae, plankton, and detritus. I am typically a bottom feeder. I spawn during the rainy season in rivers. I am important in aquaculture for food and sport fishing. I can adapt to various freshwater habitats. Thank you visit again.
