My barbels around the mouth help me sense food on the substrate. My body is elongated and covered with small scales. I prefer a stony or sandy substrate to hide in. I can be distinguished by the absence of an adipose fin. My dorsal fin is short, and I am known for my benthic lifestyle. I belong to a diverse family with many species spread across Asia."
