Hello friends welcome to Zoology Museum Shri Shivaji Science college, Nagpur. I’m Natrix, commonly known as the grass snake. I’m non-venomous and usually found near water bodies. I have an olive-green body with a yellow collar behind my head. I’m a skilled swimmer, hunting for amphibians and fish. I’m often mistaken for venomous snakes due to my coloration. I lay eggs, usually in rotting vegetation to incubate them. I can emit a foul smell when threatened to deter predators. I hibernate in winter, often in burrows or under logs. I’m found across Europe and parts of Asia. I’m a harmless snake, beneficial for controlling pest populations. Thank you visit again.
