Amphioxus 

Hello friends welcome to zoology museum Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur. I’m Amphioxus, a simple marine animal. I have a notochord but no true backbone. I live buried in sand, filter-feeding. My body is small and translucent. I’m considered an evolutionary link to vertebrates. I use cilia to draw in food particles. I have no eyes or fins. I’m sensitive to light but lack eyes. I reproduce by releasing eggs and sperm into the water. I’m found in shallow, coastal waters. Thank You visit again.
