Tubipora

Hello friends welcome to museum of Zoology Department, Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur. I am Tubipora, commonly known as organ pipe coral. I have a colonial structure with long, cylindrical polyps. My skeleton is composed of calcium carbonate tubes. My diet consists of plankton and organic particles. I provide habitat for small marine organisms. I play a role in reef building and marine biodiversity. My presence indicates healthy coral reef ecosystems. I contribute to the aesthetic and ecological value of coral reefs. Thank you visit again.
