Catla 

Hello friends welcome to zoology museum shri Shivaji science college, Nagpur.  I am Catla, a large freshwater fish known for my size and strength. I thrive in rivers and lakes, often found near the surface. My diet consists of plankton, algae, and detritus, playing a role in nutrient cycling. I’m an important species for fisheries, supporting local economies. My presence indicates a healthy aquatic ecosystem with plenty of food sources. I can adapt to various freshwater habitats, showcasing my resilience. I communicate with other fish through body language and movements. I play a vital role in the food web, serving as prey for larger fish and birds. My rapid growth makes me a popular choice for aquaculture. I’m proud to contribute to the biodiversity of my habitat.
