Phrynosoma

Hello friends welcome to museum of Zoology Department, Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur.I am Phrynosoma, commonly known as the horned lizard.I have a flattened body and a crown of horn-like spines on my head.My coloration helps me blend into my desert environment.I can squirt blood from my eyes as a defense mechanism.I am a sit-and-wait predator, relying on camouflage to ambush prey.I bask in the sun to regulate my body temperature.I am often called a "horned toad" but am a true lizard.
