Dentalium 

Hello friends welcome to zoology museum Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur. I’m Dentalium, also known as the tusk shell. My body is elongated and tubular. I live buried in the sand or mud. I filter-feed on tiny organisms. I have a foot used for burrowing. My shell is open at both ends. I’m a member of the mollusc family. I’m often used in jewellery by some cultures. I’m found in both shallow and deep waters. I contribute to nutrient cycling in sediments. Thank you visit again.
