Silkworm
Silkworm
Hello friends, Welcome to zoology museum, Shri Shivaji Science College Nagpur. I am the Silkworm, the larva of the silkmoth, and I am famous for producing silk fibers during my pupal stage. I feed exclusively on mulberry leaves, and my body is soft, segmented, and white. After I finish feeding, I spin a cocoon made of silk, from which humans harvest the silk threads. I undergo complete metamorphosis, turning into a moth after my pupal stage. I am an essential species in the silk industry, especially in regions like China and India. Thank you visit again.
