Nereis

Hello friends welcome to museum of Zoology Department, Shri Shivaji Science College, Nagpur.I am Nereis, commonly known as the ragworm or clam worm.I have a segmented body with bristled parapodia for movement.My diet includes detritus, small invertebrates, and plankton.I am found in marine environments, often in burrows or under rocks.I have a protrusible pharynx with jaws for capturing prey.I reproduce by releasing gametes into the water during spawning events.I play a role in sediment mixing and aeration.
